Customizing POS receipts

Last updated

The POS receipt is generated for every sale and refund. You can fully control how it looks, including a logo, a custom header and footer, the VAT breakdown, and whether refunds use a separate template.

Where to configure receipts

Go to POS → Settings → Receipt.

The page has a live preview on the right that updates as you change settings on the left.

POS → Settings → Receipt editor with live preview

What you can change

  • Logo — upload a PNG/JPG. It’s printed at the top of the receipt. Receipt printers usually print at 203 dpi, so a logo around 384 × 200 px gives a sharp result.
  • Header text — your shop name, address, VAT number, phone, email. Each line is a separate field.
  • Item details — toggle whether to show the SKU, EAN, and discount line under each product.
  • VAT summary — show or hide a VAT breakdown table at the bottom (recommended for most EU shops).
  • Payment lines — show or hide the payment method, tendered amount, and change.
  • Footer text — a thank-you line, opening hours, return policy URL, etc. Up to 6 lines.

Separate refund receipt

By default refunds use the same receipt template as sales, with a REFUND watermark. If you want a fully different layout for refunds, enable Use separate refund receipt and edit the refund template independently.

Saving and previewing

Sample printed POS receipt

Click Save at the bottom of the page. A POS settings saved toast confirms the update. The preview on the right reflects the saved version — print a test receipt from the checkout (More → Reprint last receipt) to confirm on the actual printer.
