Getting started with ChannelDock POS

Last updated

ChannelDock POS lets you sell directly from your warehouse, showroom, or retail store using the same stock and product catalog as your online channels. Sales are deducted from inventory in real time, and every transaction lands in the same order list as your webshop and marketplace orders.

What POS includes

  • Checkout — a touch-friendly screen where you scan or search products, take payment, and print/email a receipt.
  • Locations & registers — set up one or more physical stores, each with its own registers.
  • Shifts — open and close a shift per register, with a Z-report and cash reconciliation at the end of the day.
  • Cash drawer — track cash in/out movements per shift.
  • Payment terminals — built-in drivers for Adyen, Mollie, Stripe, and SumUp payment terminals.
  • Refunds & exchanges — fully traceable refunds, including partial and exchange flows.
  • Sales overview & reports — drill into transactions per register, per shift, per cashier.

Enabling POS

  1. POS is part of the ChannelDock subscription. If you don’t see POS in your top menu yet, go to Settings → Modules and activate it (or contact support).
  2. Open POS from the menu — you’ll be taken to the POS overview.

1. [Configure POS locations and registers](/help/en/pos/settings/configuring-pos-locations-and-registers/)
2. [Set up POS payment terminals](/help/en/pos/settings/setting-up-pos-payment-terminals/)
3. [Customize your POS receipt](/help/en/pos/settings/customizing-pos-receipts/)
4. [Open your first shift and start selling](/help/en/pos/selling/selling-at-the-pos-checkout/)

Permissions

POS uses its own permission set, separate from the rest of ChannelDock. Sub-users can be granted access to POS checkout, POS sales overview, Cash drawer, Shift report, and POS settings independently. Set this up under Settings → Employee accounts before handing the till to a colleague.
